How to import the CSV into Notion
- Download the Notion CSV. Drop your export above and click “Download Notion CSV”.
- Import it into Notion. In Notion, open Settings → Import → CSV (or type /csv on a page) and upload the file. Notion creates a database: one page per link, with Title, URL, Tags, Saved date and Status properties.
- Set the property types. If Notion imports Tags as text, change the property type to Multi-select; comma-separated values become separate tags. Set Saved date to Date and Status to Select if needed.
- Or merge into an existing database. Open the database, click ••• → Merge with CSV, and upload the file. Imports add rows and don’t update existing ones, so merge each file once.

Want the full articles in Notion, not just links?
Notion’s CSV import brings in your links, titles, tags and dates. It can’t bring in the article text. Fullclip, a Chrome web clipper for Notion, saves the full article (every paragraph, image, table and code block) as native Notion blocks with one shortcut, into the same database. It can also import your Pocket or Instapaper export directly.
Frequently asked questions
Is my Pocket export uploaded anywhere?
Your file never leaves your browser. The conversion runs on this page and nothing is uploaded to any server, ours included. The page has no permission to upload data, and it keeps working if you go offline after it loads. The page’s Content-Security-Policy blocks scripts from making any upload or data request, so the file could not be sent even by mistake.
Which files does the converter accept?
Pocket’s CSV export, Pocket’s HTML export (ril_export.html) and Instapaper’s CSV export. A .zip must be unzipped first. Other CSV files work too if they have a URL column.
Does Notion import the article text?
No. Notion’s CSV import creates one database page per row, so you get your links with their titles, tags, dates and status, not the articles themselves. To keep the full text and images in Notion, open an article and save it with Fullclip, a Chrome web clipper for Notion.
Why are dates shown in UTC?
Pocket and Instapaper store save times as timestamps without a time zone. The CSV writes them in UTC in the same format Notion uses in its own exports, so Notion reads them as dates.
My library is large. Will Notion accept the file?
Notion accepts CSV files up to 5 MB on the Free plan and 50 MB on paid plans (Notion help). If your CSV would be larger than about 4.5 MB, the converter splits it into parts: import the first, then use Merge with CSV for the rest.
Is the converter free?
Yes. No account, no limit on the number of links, and no email address needed.
Pocket shut down on July 8, 2025 and exports closed on October 8, 2025 (Mozilla). This tool reads export files you already have.
